I have TMJ caused by my nightly grinding and clenching. Lately it has been really bad and I wake up every morning with jaw, facial pain and a headache. I also have been suffering from burning tongue and mouth and my entire mouth feels dry and uncomfortable. Could my TMJ be causing this? I have been to the dentist and Dr, everything in my mouth looks normal and no one has any clear answers. I'm hoping someone here might be of help. I'm tired of feeling terrible.
I have a similar problem as well with the mouth burning. Only recently I have been diagnosed with TMJ. I don't have headaches or jaw clicking just this odd burning sensation in my mouth, lips, even stomach....
Sounds like you may need to have your Parotid Gland checked. TMJ can dammage the gland along with your Inferior Alveolar Nerve, I only know this due to my left gland had to be removed and I have lost my left sided nerve 100% due to numerous TMJ surgeries over the past 19 years. Hope you get some answers!
