Hi All,
Tomorrow I am having a TMJ Arthroplasty. The plan is to stitch the cartilage back in place, which has been continually stuck forward causing lots of pain and discomfort, not to mention a horrible range of motion. If the cartilage is too damaged, it will be removed (I guess they said scar tissue will eventually form and replace the cartilage but my range of motion will still be compromised)


I would like to hear from others who have had this procedure, what the pain is like, recovery time, if you spent a night in the hospital (my doctor said it is up to me if I want to or not).
