| tmj and trigeminal neuralgia
Has anyone been treated for both trigeminal neuralgia and tmj? After undergoing MVD surgery for trigeminal neuralgia, and they did NOT find an artery wrapped around the nerve, I finally was referred to an oral surgeon and had bite splint made. It did not help, eventually ended up at orthodontist who made very expensive (almost $7,000) bite splints because MRI showed both jaw joints dislocated. Am a couple of months into my treatment without pain relief. Splints seem to have made some of the TN symptoms worse, more shocks. Any advice greatly appreciated.
