Some of my symptoms have been right temple headaches that could turn into headaches that travel to my behind my eye (I've had a few cluster headaches because of that), jaw will click when I open my mouth too wide (either when yawning or chewing gum), earaches that are like someone stabbing my inner ear as well as ringing. I have been known to grind my teeth when I'm angry as well. I'm trying to think of more right now. Recently, I have had a short amount of numbness on my face. All of this is on my right side.
I recently went to the dentist and told her about this. She recommended me to someone who handles TMJ, but she also said that it could just be my wisdom tooth all along (I only have one wisdom tooth in my upper right, and all of my symptoms have always been in that area). She has set me up for an oral surgery consultation as well.
Is it possible that my wisdom tooth has been affecting me for that long though? Ever since I was in my late teens? It would be a blessing if that is all this is.
It is hard to tell. It could very well be your wisdom tooth. It is difficult with symptoms that can be attributed to more than one thing. I'd say that it might be worth wisdom tooth removal and then monitoring to see how you do.
