Getting insurance to pay for TMJ treatment
My insurance company doesn't want to pay for my TMJ treatment. Have any of you had success in getting your insurance companies to reverse their ruling?

Most dental insurances offer very little TMJD coverage, if any. Try using MPD as your diagnosis (Myofascial Pain Dysfunction) as your medical insurance should cover it since it is a medical condition.

All of my son's treatments were covered for nearly 10 years (and still are) under the MPD diagnosis. Hope this helps.
