| Recently Suspected of TMD
Hello I am hoping someone can shed some light on my possible TMD symptoms. I have been seeing a dentist about issues I have been having and he suspects I have TMD. I am not sure how it is diagnosed, other then symptoms but he is sure it is what i have. The main symptoms I am having is when I awake in the mornings for the first while when closing my mouth my bottom front teeth hit my front top teeth. Also the left side of my jaw aches slightly. After I get up shower, brush my teeth my bite returns to normal, almost as if my jaw is swollen when i first wake up. I do have slight pain on the left side throughout the day, a dull ache, the occasional short ear pain on either side, other then that no other issues. The real concern is this all started around December 1st, Came on fast and has not changed. There is no evidence I grind my teeth. Any thoughts on any of this would be greatful. I guess what I am looking for is to see if my symptoms seem to fit as a TMD condition, Thank You.
