Can TMJ Cause Swollen Lymph Nodes in Neck?

I'm just wondering if this is typical! Thank you.

Re: Can TMJ Cause Swollen Lymph Nodes in Neck?

It could create inflammation in the scm muscle which runs from the clavicle (collar bone) to the mastoid (base of the scull). I had some significant inflammation there for a while. If you look up scm muscle on the web, you will see where it is oriented in your neck.

Sadly this brings up memories of the anatomy class I took last semester. But I don't think its my scm muscle since I can run my finger down that muscle and it's not where the inflammation seems to be at.

Hmm. Thank you for the help, though
