A question about tourettes.

I have often wondered about the following situation:-

A guy I know has tourettes and has motor tics.

At the same time, he has a spinal injury that has left him paralyzed from the neck down.

Question is: If someone with Tourettes cannot tic due to paralysis, what happens then? This must be a hugely frustrating situation, isn't it?

Pls give comments if you can.

If he has full blown gts then he should still have tics with his head even if he is paralyzed from neck down.

As far as it being frustrating? Well, his situation is a bit different but I can imagine it is frustrating for him.

I too have ts (severe at times) and have severe back issues from a back surgery from 2009.

The tics multiply my pain level many times over but my pain management doc all but ignores that fact.

Hope that helped at least some.
