My girlfriends baby is in serious need of a heart transplant. She was born fine, didnt eat much...but otherwise healthy and happy.
at 2 months her mom took ker to the Drs 3 times in a little over a week for what seemed to be labored breathing...the Dr said she breathes like this because you smoked when you were pregnant. she took the baby home. That night she went to check on the baby and she was very pale and having obvious breathing problems. The ambulance came and took the baby to hospital right away. The took a chest x ray and said the babys heart was very swollen to the size of the chest wall and they rushed her to another state by helicopter (bostons childrens hospital)...there they said the baby needed a heart bypass...they brought her to the operating room immediately and the baby died on the table...thankfully they were able to bring her back...the surgery was not a success and now she is need of a hart transplant as her only option. They are going to try to give the baby a pace maker to buy time but arent sure shell even survive that operation...please keep her (Jennika) in your prayers...and dont ever question your mothers intuition!!
