| Re: Trigeminal Pharyngioplasty anyone?
I've had fullness in my ears for 5 years now and was diagnosed with tmj about a year ago after many ents and tests and meds... my tmj specialist I was seeing in San Diego tried what i believe was Trigeminal Pharyngioplasty in April. I'm not positive that's what it was but basically he stuck a finger down the back of my throat and moved the muscles on each side up and down. It helped somewhat relive the pressure and pain for about a week.
It still hasn't returned to as bad as it was before so I guess it helped. I also was getting cranio sacral release therapy and marcaine injections in the problem muscles since last nov. and been using a splint with valium every night since dec. Hope that helps you... I'm still trying to find a new specialist since I moved to NY in April because cold winters are hell for my ears.
