Stoke and Trigeminal Neuralgia - Any connection?

Has anyone that has suffered from a stroke now suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia? My husband had a stroke about 5 years ago. He has APS (blood clotting disorder) and PFO. Ever since the stroke he has suffered with facial pain. We are still trying to get to the bottom of the facial pain. Right now we are being told it's Trigeminal Neuralgia from the GP but we have a appointment on Thursday with a Neurologist. Just wondering if this sounds familiar to any of you. Thanks!
