My Dr. prescribed Prednisone to me this week after a month of ear/jaw/tooth pain that my Dentist diagnosed as TMJ after a bitewing x-ray showed nothing else to cause the pain. After 5 days on Prednisone I would say the pain is 75% less! My Dr. told me the Prednisone basically speeds up the healing process and helps your body heal the nerve itself. He said if this doesn't clear it up, he'll be referring me to an ENT doc to check out my eustachian tube, etc., but so far I seem to be on the road to recovery. (Knock on wood.)
BTW, how are you doing after using the Prednisone?
