| trigeminal neuralgia
have had trigeminal neuralgia for 25 years. first had microvascular craniotomy in 89, worked for about 5 yrs then after reaching tegretol limits had the balloon compression for ten minutes, worked for another 5 yrs. after reaching tegretol limits again the balloon compression was performed again but this time for 20 minutes. I now have severe headaches and the feeling that my eyelashes are turned inside out on my right eye. its been 4 months and symptoms are not letting up. my neurosurgeon says it doesnt look like it worked and is now recomending either the craniotomy or gamma knife. Any gamma knife patients out there that can help me make up my mind? Insight would be appreciated. Still wondering how long my eye symptoms will last. thanks
