NEED HELP -- Clomid question - Trying to Conceive (TTC) Message Board

Hi...

I've seen the average cd to start clomid is day 3 or day 5. But I've also read that they're having success with people starting it on day 1. Has anyone ever taken it on day 1 and had success from it? Today is day 1 of my cycle and I'm trying to decide if I should start now or not (100 mg).

I have kind of a bad situation -- dh is in the military and is going to Iraq in less than a month. He will be home on leave cd8 - cd19, and then I probably won't see him again for at least 1 year. I had a miscarriage in March of this year, and we really want to get pg while he's home on leave. I want to do whatever it takes to get the best chance of getting pg.

Does anyone have any advice for me???

Chances are if he's home those days that you will catch the egg. I would suggest getting some OPK's so you can predict O better and really nail the day. No pun intended! I would suggest you don't take the clomid starting today. That may lead to early O and cut down your chances. Day 3 is what the majority of women do so I's stick with that. Do you know when you normally O? Clomid may change your O day a bit so OPK's are a very good idea. Good luck to you and DH!

Hey my doc just gave me 2 month cycle of clomid. He told me the 5th day. My hubby is in the Army and we are overseas in South Korea. I am sorry to hear about your hubby going to Iraq.
How many mil grams is your clomid? Mine is 50 cause he thinks I will get preggo without it. He told me to chart and do some other stuf before I take the clomid. Please let me know how it works for ya.

It worked! I'm just a little afraid because it was right around this time in my pregnancy that I miscarried in March. But so far things seem okay. I took 100 mg of Clomid. Thank you for everyones advice!
