Well, i recieved my Vitex chaste berry last week and have been taking three a day since.

I have started to have cramp like symptoms day and night in my ovaries so i assume there starting to wake up (this was before taking vitex) so altogether that will be six months since being off the depo, im not holding out much hope for conceiving this year but early next year would be great, by April hopefully there will be a little something in my belly

I hope you see some change in yourself soon, let me know how its going.

hi Sammie,

was wondering how you were doing.

ive been on the vitex for over a week now. dunno what strength yours is? mine is 1000mg 2 a day.
cant say ive noticed any difference with taking it to not taking it. about 3-4 weeks ago i had awful cramps in my left side (now believe it must be where my ovary is), and bloating at the time, which was when i did all those home tests!
then a week ago i got slight pain in the same place agin, but no where near as bad or long.
i wondered if it was my ovaries 'waking up'?

bloating has gone.

can i ask some questions please hun?
when you say thats its six months you have been off depo, is that counting from when you had your last jab? or when the last one was due to run out?
my last one was beginning of April, and was due to run out very end of june.

also, have you been off depo before? if so how long did it take you to get AF back?
in the past it took me 12 months and 18 months before AF returned when i had depo breaks. (interested as i think we are at similar stages symptoms wise, so comparring notes lol)

sorry about all the personal questions and feel free to ignore them if the are too nosy!
pleased to hear from you though as i did wonder how you were doing.

lets hope 2005 will be baby year for us and all the other TTC'ers

Hey you, well my Vitex is 400mg and im to take 3 a day for 12 weeks and then 1 capsule daily thereafter.

The 1 question - its counting from the day my last injection was due which was the begining of may.
I have never been off depo before so im not sure what to expect but looking at your symptoms we seem to be at the same stage, which is cool as we could end up being pregnant at the same time.

Sounds disgusting but ill let you know when af returns.

Sammie have you had sore boobs?. i have since last night. but its not normal ouch sore, more of a feeling of burning in my left boob only. hurts a lot! feels like a graze/burn

Sound nasty, ive had sore burning kind of ouch to touch boobs for the last 12 weeks, i went to the doctors about it and she said it could possibly be pregnancy, to cut a long story short they did a test, i wasnt, it was an after effect of coming off the depo.

That is why i got the tablets as they help with sore boobs and pcos (which i also have!)

How are your boobs now? hopefully the tablets should help though, they seem to have taken the edge off the pain but but not helped with the ovary cramp yet but we will see, takes 12 weeks for the tablets to take effect though!
