Hi,
My cycles are still somewhat up in the air following a miscarriage mid August (4W+5D) The first month afterward my cycle was 33 days, the second month was 32 days. I used to be a regular 28 day girl. This month, I really wanted to BD every other day all month, but my husband works nights and I work days, so it's proven to be quite difficult to get on the same wave length...especially at 3 in the morning. Anyhow, on CD14 we BD-ed. The next day (CD15) my temp dropped a little, and on CD16 (the day after) it dropped once again, this was the lowest point and temps did increase the next day. BBBBUUUTTT...my question is...is it possible to ovulate a few days after that dip? The evening of CD19 I had the most CM that I had up until that point, and we were able to BD within an hour of me noticing the CM. I stayed in bed all night afterward. I am still thinking this won't be our month just because we had no BD-ing between CD14 and CD 19, which according to my temps would have been the prime time...the only thing making me question it, is the CM thing.
As some of you may already know, I am new to this charting thing, and swear sometimes I feel so darn stupid asking questions I am just glad to have this board and all you wonderful people who take the time to make me feel comfortable and informed. Thanks in advance!

Re: Is it possible to ovulate 3 days after Temp dip?
In my understanding, it is possibel to ovulate a couple days or so after the temp dip. The dip does nto mean that you are ovulating. It can sometimes mean that you are abotu to ovulate. But not everyone has a temp dip. The only thing temp wise that can tell you anything is when you have had a sustained rise in high temps for a few days. Having high temps for a few days shows that you have indeed ovulated because after ovulating your temperature increases.
Generally, you should look more at your cm to know when you are fertile because that should stay about the same each month whereas temp can be affected by so many other factors. Temping is good to look at your patterns over time to find patterns-like to determine if you rise is at the same time eac month, etc. because that can help you predict eac month when you will ovulate. So pay attention to the cm, because e***hite cm or lots of wet cm are very probably signs of fertile cm.
Good luck! I know its hard! We'll all get the hang of it some day---if our bodies ever do the same thing each month! Ha!
Re: Is it possible to ovulate 3 days after Temp dip?
Thanks Laura. I appreciate your info. My temps did increase after the lowest dip, so from the 17th on they have been elevated, and it was the 19th that I had the most CM, so I don't know what to think, I am pretty sure this wasn't the month though. It is so frustrating TTC when your DH and you work opposite shifts. Well, I guess we'll see soon enough. Thanks again.
Re: Is it possible to ovulate 3 days after Temp dip?
Hey kierrasmommy glad to see ur still ttc, have you got hold of Taking charge of your fertility yet, its a great book, i dont enjoy reading but havent put this book down, its really easy to follow and they go through everything you need to know when ttc. I am of the same understanding of laurabelle the temps dont all ways tell you what you need to know but link them together with your cm and that should indicate when your going to ovulate or if you allready have.
