Arrow New Here

Hi Everyone.. I have posted a few times on the pregnancy board because I thought I may have been pg recently. I had every symptom known and the blood test came back negative So my bf and I have decided to try and have one. I have a few things to ask..
1. I ovulate 6 days in my cycle.. is this normal? I asked my dr this and she looked at me as if I told her pigs flew. I was told that it was " impossible". Well I do and my luteal phase is like 12-14 days. When should me and my bf do the deed since I ovulate this early?
2. How long does it usually take for couples to finally concieve when they are TTC? I know everyone is different, I'd like some input.
3. This is the most embarrassing question, and I am sorry if it offends anyone. My bf has a medical condition and sometimes he cannot have an orgasm during sex. We were wondering if we would have a chance to still concieve if he ejaculated on his fingers and then finished me this way? I know that any type of semen can impregnate someone, but all I have found is about pre-ejaculation. Would his sperm survive until it was in me? Sorry again geez I am so embarrassed.
Good luck to all of you..
Take Care

Re: New Here

Dont be embarrased

If dh cant always manage then what about using a syringe? ok i know its not the most romantic way but i would think it would be more accurate than using fingers which it could run off. A syringe could 'shoot' it more accurately to where it needs to go. I think that would greatly increase chances that way.

As for the ovulating 6 days into your cycle, well my mom told me the other day, that the only way she got pregnant was BD'ing a few days after AF, and she was pregnant a total of 5 times (me, sis and 3 miscarriages).

Goodluck.

Re: New Here

I guess most couples it takes 6 months to a year to get preggers, but then, there are people like me, who have been trying for 5 years.

Re: New Here

How do you know that you ovulate on day 6 of your cycle? Do your chart your temps? Are your cycles only a total of 18-20 days long?

If you do use a syringe, make sure to research it. I have actually come across this online, it is called the turkey baster method (althuogh you do not use a turkey baster!). It is also called intracervical insemination since you deposit the semen with a syringe right near the cervix. But you have to deposit it slowly and try to tap all the air bubbles out of the syringe because i tis bad to get air bubbles in there - so do some research on it if that is what you want to do.

Good luck!
