Talking This is day 3 of high temp

I've just started charting my temp this month. I was ranging in the mid to upper 97's and now for three days (tuesday 98.39) yesterday 98.19 and today 98.20. Does this indicate anything am I getting my hopes up for nothing?

Re: This is day 3 of high temp

do not get your hopes up yet. some women (such as me)..temps remain high until either a day or two before AF...the day of AF...or a day or two after AF..every woman is different...so you are not going to know anything until your next AF..if it shows...then if you are not pg..this will help you determine when your temps will drop. Some women use this as a way to determine when AF is due to show..if you have irregular periods..such as me. I just started doing the temp chart earlier this month...and even though I am not TTC--(if it happens, it does, if it dont, it dont...I started out doing this out of curiosity...now I am charting to find my patterns, as far as ovulation, as well as when AF will start)........I was really excited because my temps remained between 98.6 and 99.0..thinking I was pg...but I done research, and questioned a few on here about it...and learned that I may be one of the women where it will stay high until I started....I didnt want to believe what I was reading.....I really wanted to believe that I was pg....BUT, then AF showed her face. I still dont know exactly when mine dropped...as I took my temp on Friday..still high...but didnt take it again until Monday morning...(which it had dropped)----but I started AF on Saturday. But this month..I am going to TRY to temp on the weekends as well. Its so much easier through the week...cause I have to get up early to take kids to school.....but like to sleep in on weekends...and I knew timing is a factor..and since I am not charting to get pg...I didnt see the point in waking early to chart the temps.

Good luck...and I hope your high temps mean that you are PG!!! But I just dont want you to get your hopes up.

Re: This is day 3 of high temp

Maybe you just ovulated 3 days ago? Pre-ovulatory temps are supposed to be lower. Once you ovulated than your post-O temps are higher and are supposed to stay higher until AF comes.

I'm guessing that is probably what is going on. Today my temp is still at 98.33F. AF is due on the 6th of March...we'll see what happens!
