Exclamation When is my first menstral day if I spot before?

I usualy spot for several days before heavy/normal blood begins to flow. Since I'm trying to conceive, when do I know when my first day of my period is? Is it the day I start to spot or the day I begin a real flow? I'm confused.

It's the first day of your heavy flow. The spotting is actually the END of your previous cycle.

Re: When is my first menstral day if I spot before?

i was told the same i had spotting after i stopped my birth control an i was told it was not the beginning of my next cycle yet but it was for i ovulated 17 days after which was yesturday. i know this for i felt myself ovulate and i took an ovulation test. i think it varies from women to women. i would buy those tests and starting 10 days after you spot until day 20 days after and im sure youll find the day you ovulate. good luck.

Re: When is my first menstral day if I spot before?

CD1 is considered the first day of full flow - not spotting. Many women do spot a day or two before AF actually comes full force, but that is not to be considered CD1
