Faint positive question...

Hello! I took a pregnancy test Wednesday night around 7:30pm (out of frustration), there was a faint 2nd line indicating it was positive. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, but my husband saw the line too. Then next day I tested with 2nd morning urine and the test show a plus sign (different brand of test) that was more obvious than the 2nd line the night before, yet it was still a little faint. It's now Sunday and I tested this morning (after using the bathroom about 4 times during the night) and the positive plus sign is there, but it isn't any darker than it was 3 days ago. Is that ok, or normal? I would be 5 weeks now. I have a doctor's appointment on Friday, and the dr's office said if there were any indication of a faint positive I am pregnant. Guess I'll have to wait until Friday, I'm just nervous!!! Any advice would help... thanks!!

Re: Faint positive question...

congrats on the bfp. that's awesome
i think that since you got positives using three different tests, you are pregnant!
as far as i know false positives are extremely rare. false negatives are possible. good luck at your appt and please let us know what happens. i'll keep my fingers crossed for you but i doubt you need it.
best wishes.

Re: Faint positive question...

It may be that your urine is a bit diluted..if you are testing in the evening vs first morning sample and or using the bathroom several times during the night. I have also heard a positive is a positive and considering you got 3 it sounds as if the test are detecting HCG ! Congratulations!

Thanks for the replies... I went to the walk in clinic today where they repeated the urine test (positive) and for my sake he confirmed it with a blood test. I'm due around Nov. 6th!!!!
