Re: bronicagirl...

Hi thanks for asking.

i dont know what the flip is going on. i really should go to the doctors but im too scared.
ive had no spotting/bleeding yet.
beginning to think my thermometer is faulty (picks the right bloomin time to play up! grr!) it is now giving silly results, for expample dh took his temp orally without moving and one after another it was giving 94. something, 97. something then 96. something, within the space of 3 mins. plus 2 days ago it said i was 99.9!!! but i clearly wasnt.
been using a different thermometer the last 2 days and its been 97.9 & 97.6 my coverline is 97.4

but got another bfn today. so im really confused. i think i probably am going to mc but no bleeding yet. im only 22-23 dpo today so i would have thought it would happen by now.

im afraid im all over the place. im embarrsed for the fact that i said anything on here previously.
my gut feeling is im going to m/c, but then i think i might still be pg and the 2 bfn were false. the next minute i think maybe the bfp i had in the first place was wrong.
then i think what if i never o'd in the first place as thermometer might have been playing up then, but i got a very definate bfp at the right time.
the last 2 days ive had slight ferning on my saliva scope. dont know what that signifies if anything?
my cervical position has been low, closed, firm for the last week. Ive read it will open up to m/c.

i think im going to wait a few more days to see what temps do with new thermometer/ and/ or any spotting or bleeding that may come along.
if not then i suppose ill have to go to the doctors.
i know i really should go strait away, but they wouldnt be able to do much anyhow.

At this moment in time im going roound with a 'denial' attitude to it all either way. i think its because i still feel cut up over my dad dieing last may suddenly at 63, then my autie died 3 weeks ago at 56.

Oh and i had a thought i probably really was pg, as i stayed at a friends house dog sitting, one of her female dogs went mental and clung to me the whole time. my own staffie dog was doing that as well. he didnt for a few days but is doing again. i know its silly but every night when i went to bed id ask my dead realtives to tell me when id get pg. one dream i got told it would be 9 months after my last depo shot ran out which is now. plus my mom has this weird ability to sometimes predict things. (she told the policeman that came to her door that her first DH was dead after 7.5 month marriage, before the policeman could tell her, as she dreampt it! he actually got crushed to death by a train where he worked underground at the moment she dreampt it) anyhow mum said a few days back that i looked pg in my eyes.

DH stood yesterday in the local post office, posting a parcel, took one look at a baby in a buggy and burst into tears. the probable loss is hitting him hard.

my life is worse than an episode of east enders (the uk ladies will know what i mean lol)

sorry for waffling on everyone, just got no one to talk to this end.

Re: bronicagirl...

oh gosh, i'm so sorry to hear about what you're going through. and i'm really sorry about the passing of you aunt
first of all i just want to say that you should not feel bad about venting to us. that's the reason we all come here and there's no need to feel bad.
i really think you should go to the doctor. it sounds to me like your thermometer is broken. i don't want to give you false hope but sometimes home pregnancy tests don't show up positive for weeks after conception. i believe that a blood test is a lot more sensetive and it will pick up on smaller concentrations of hcg.
i've been a mess as of late myself. my dh and i have been ttc for 5 months and i still haven't even had a real period. i was just diagnosed with pcos a couple weeks ago and am now taking metformin to help my insulin-resistance.
i'm 24 years old, in good health, healthy weight, never done drugs, drank only socially. i feel like it's not fair sometimes that there are so many unwanted pregnancies out there when people like us want children so much and would love them so completely. but as my dh says, there is nothing fair about it. it is what it is. there are days when i just cry out of frustration because my condition makes it harder for me to conceive and there is a much higher than normal chance of miscarriage with it up to 50% if not on metformin as opposed to 7 or 8% for normal women).
i'm telling you this so you know that you are not alone. it's ok to feel sad, frustrated, even angry. but in your heart you have to believe that you are destined to be a mom, and so you will be.
lots of hugs and prayers.
please hang in there. i hope you get a bfp. but if not this month, then next month.

Re: bronicagirl...

Thanks Ladies.
The bit i dont understand is why i got a bfp, then 2 days after that, 2 bfn, all with fmu.
This morning my temp went up to the highest its ever been, 98.8, coverline is 97.4. i didnt have a late night, alcohol etc. so time will tell.

Nastablasta- i know what you mean about the pcos, its a horrid thing. i was diagnosed with it at the end of january. im still waiting for an appointment with a gynae. my doctor said it would take 3-4 months wait.
im overweight by quite a degree, before the pcos i could loose weight easily, but now i cant shift even 1lb. my doctor has now put me on some medication, xenical, that helps loose weight, ive lost 8lb so far. apparently with pcos loosing weight takes twice as long. really hope the metformin helps you. ive heard lots of stories of pcos babies. someone i know im my villiage has it too, she tried everything to no avail. then she took up walking, not hikeing just going out for walks in the countryside etc, she then fell pg just like that, and now has a lovely little girl.
i get really p'd off with the pcos, but i swear the vitex helped me to get pg naturally, though it takes a while to work.
one more thought, i read somewhere where a specialist said if anybody has to have a fertility issue, then pcos is the best one to have as its most sucessful at treating etc, i try to cling to that when im on a downer.

take care ladies.

Re: bronicagirl...

bronica,
i can't believe you have to wait 3 or 4 months for an appt. you must live in a small town ... or else your doctor must be very popular!
i know what you mean about the weight not wanting to come off. i'm not really overweight but i had always noticed that it took me twice as much effort as other people to lose the same amount of weight. when i got my diagnosis,it all made sense. now that the weather is getting nicer i will start walking around the neighborhood in the afternoons. hopefully that will help.
i really think you should get a blood test. especially since you got a bfp the first time. false negatives are not that uncommon but it's very rare to get a false positive. just think, you could be pregnant right now and not even know it!! i really hope so
i'm not sure what your doctor will prescribe for you but just so you know i'm taking 1000mg a day of metformin (it's a diabetes drug that treats the insulin-resistance that so many pcos women have) and will start clomid (to make me ovulate) 5 days into my next cycle.

well, keep me updated. i really hope you'll get a blood test so your mind can be at ease.
take care and hang in there.

Re: bronicagirl...

Well DH just been to doctors, as our young horse (henry)was a bit silly when being fed this morning and kicked him. Hes usually an angel. DH will live. just hope Henry didnt hurt himself

(i do love DH really hehe!)
Anyhow DH mentioned the BFN's & BFP to the doctor, he said i might be pregnant . gee isnt he soo helpful and theres me thinking i had a splinter lol
anyhow didnt say anything about coming in for a blood test. Ive got to submit a pee sample on Tuesday to go to the lab. Apparently the lab according to the doctor are "quite good at urine pregnancy tests"

mmmmm we shall see

Re: bronicagirl...

I really thought things were looking up. grrr! my temp stayed above coverline but only by a wee bit.so thought i must be pg afterall. didnt bother with the urine test as mine at home were saying bfn. been having vravings, sore nipples the works, tummy expanding.
got an appointment with my own doctor tomorrow afternoon. the one who said about bringing in urine was the same one who said i was imagining things, when it turned out ive got pcos!
so was going to get my own (new) doctor to do a blood test.
However at lunchtime today i have started to spot. just waiting to see if this is the end which i originally suspected. going by doctors method then i am 6 weeks 3 days today.
never mind there will be other chances. Atleast i know dh swimmers are ok, and that we managed to concieve naturally which doc thought would be unlikely, that cm is ok, etc, and that we got pg by bd 4 days before o day (didnt realise until i had o'd, that i was o'ing if you know what i mean). so bd timing was way off, but did make it to the eggy.

so things could be worse. And they say 50% of first pg end in m/c anyhow.
so if this is it ending, then roll on the next one
