Ovulation predictor kits

After 5 months of ttc, and nothing yet, and very very irregular AF's, I am not going to start keeping track of my body, and hopefully pinpoint when I ovulate.
Which ways do you do? And what do you find the best?

Thanks,

Angie

Re: Ovulation predictor kits

I would think you'd spend a lot of money on ovulation predictor kits if you have irregular cycles. You can chart your BBT, which will tell you when you have ovulated. You can also chart your cervical mucus, which hopefully will tell you when you are about to ovulate. I do both of these. There's a book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" which I highly recommend. You can probably get it from your library. I would really prefer to only chart my CM, but it was doing weird things this month, so I didn't feel comfortable using only that to track ovulation.

Also, there's a herb called Vitex (chaste berry) which may help you to regulate your cycles. It is supposed to normalize your hormones.

Good luck!

Re: Ovulation predictor kits

Yeah TCOYF is 'the' book to read, its my ttc 'bible' . it is full of brilliant advice about checking cm and morning waking temps. its not difficult to do. I got pg with doing that without even using ovulation sticks.

Goodluck
