I have been charting for a few months months now and found out that I have a short luteal phase (9-11 days). Just wanted to find out if anyone else had this problem, how long they waited to see their doctor, what treatment they were given, if it worked, etc.
I'm pretty disappointed knowing that I most likely won't be able to get pregnant on my own, but at the same time I'm glad I started charting so at least I know about the problem and can address it. We've only been trying for 5 months and my husband thought I was nuts starting to chart so soon, but now I'm really glad I did!
There's no reason for you to think you won't be able to conceive on your own. My cousin had a short luteal phase as well and her doctor prescribed progesterone. Since then she has had 2 successful pregnancies. Talk to your doctor about it.
There is a Natural Drug called Vitex Chaste Berry which helps to increase your LP and it also helps to regulate your cycles. You can get it off the internet or from your pharmacist. Hope this helps.
p.s My friend took this and it increased her LP and i am taking it at the moment to regulate my cycles, its worked for us so maybe it will work for you, who knows but its worth a try
