| Re: Ovulating twice a month?
I have read that you don't necessarily ovulate at the same time every month, so it's good to keep checking the CM to be sure. Since it is generally 12-16 days before your next period, and that could come anywhere from 26-30 days in your case, you could be off by several days from month to month.
I think if you can ovulate twice a month it is really, really rare. I have heard though that it is common several days after you have ovulated to have creamy CM or even EWCM, but this is not a sign of ovulation - it has to do with a secondary estrogen surge. It is also common for people to have their BBT drop below the coverline at this time, but it should go back up. If you just have a day of creamy or EWCM after you believe you have ovulated, it is most likely the estrogen surge, not a 2nd ovulation.
As far as I know, it is not possible to conveive when you are not ovulating, since there needs to be an egg there to be fertilized. Once the egg is released, it will die within 24 hours so conception is not possible after that. If someone conceived a week before their period was due, it would be because they ovulated late that cycle (this happened to me - my cycles are normally 28 days but one month I ovulated on day 21. Then my period came on day 35 - if I hadn't known I ovulated so late, I would have thought I was pregnant).
Hope that helps a bit! good luck!
