Question Trying 9 years to conceive, any helpful tips?

Hi, I'm glad I found this message board because sometimes you feel as though you're the only one going through not being able to have a baby!
I'm new here so forgive me I'f I ramble on. I'm 31 years old, my husband is 48 years old, we've been married for 9 years, and we have had no luck in getting pregnant. we have insurance but I't won't pay for fertility checks. So I'm pretty much on my own. I was diagnosed with hypothyroism 5 months ago, and I'm taking Levothroid 75mcgs@ day.
October 15th I thought my AF had started, but it was more like brownish light spotting, for 2 days. I usually go for at least 7 days heavy. As of right now spotting, no nothing. I know it's easy to go and get a pg test, but the sheer dissappointment everytime is making me not want to. Does anyone think I may be pregnant? Some people were saying that after starting thyroid meds they became pregnant after thinking they couldn't? anyone here of that?
Thanks for taking the time to read and offer any opinion!!! Maria

Re: Trying 9 years to conceive, any helpful tips?

Well, I have PCOS, and a family history of hashimotos thyroiditis.. with that in mind... I was told I would need intervention to concieve. I have tried thyroid in the past and it helped me a little... I was on the BCP for the PCOS, and I missed a few the last few days of my pack, and I now have a 4 month old.. I think the pill helped me get pregnant because I was taking it to regulate my period but I stopped right at the time I should to allow ovulation... my mother thinks it is because I took the thyroid... so are you going to test?? Or you could wait.. see what happens a little longer... good luck... let me know what happens.
