EWCM or sperm?? - Trying to Conceive (TTC) Message Board

I have a question. Sorry if there is any TMI in it, but I am ovulating, and I am unsure when I started being I m.c. I went to the dr yesterday who informed me I was ovulating, I believe I started the day before yesterday being there was some cm that comes around when I first start to ovulate. anyway Dh and I BD last night, and I was curious I am still checking my cm and having ewcm now but I dont wanna mistake that for sperm. So I did take a shower this morning washed myself and also took a bath later. I still have it, is it sperm or cm? Do you know? So you think we should BD tonight when he gets home and tomorrow? Thanks

If you have alreday Oed, then it is probably too late. Your best chances are before O. You should probably BD in the 1-2 days after that just to be on the safe side. As far as sperm vs. EWCM the best way to tell is to do the water test. Get a glass of water (room temp) and after checking your CM put your fingers in the water. EWCM is supposed to almost form a ball, while sperm will dissolve or break apart. I have never tried this myself, but I have heard that it works.
