Anyone had any luck with Vitex and or Royal Jelly?

My dh and I are open to anything at this point....I've had 4 m/c and recently found out that I have a cranial sinus infection. I've read that this may also hinder pregnancies.

We're anxious to get pregnant!

Please help!

Re: Anyone had any luck with Vitex and or Royal Jelly?

Hi, my dh and i were ttc for over a year off and on and i got pregnant the first cycle using vitex and green tea. I am now 6 1/2 mths pregnant! I used the liquid version of vitex 20-30 drops in my green tea which i drank 3-4 times a day. i did this from last day of af til i O'd (i also charted my temps). You can go back and look at my posts for july and read exactly what i did and what was going on.
vitex is used to help women ovulate and to get their af's on a shorter cycle. My af's were getting insanely LOOOONG, and when you are ttc it really takes your chances of hitting the right day. i took vitex and ovulated on day 20 when usually i would ovulate closer to day 40. green tea is used to help you make more cervical mucous (cm). its supposed to increase the amount you make and help the sperm live longer and therefore a greater chance of a bfp.
but since you have had four miscarriages you know you can get pregnant, your problem would be keeping the pregnancy. are you seeing a specialist? i would think that would be a good move so that you can work together to see why you keep having the miscarriages and then would be able to better prevent another one from happpening. Is there anything you can do to get rid of the cranial sinus infection? i would try and get rid of that before ttc, so that if there are any meds you need to take you can take them and not worry about if you are pg.
Good luck and take care

Thanks!

I read the previous threads...... I've decided to wait until I'm done taking the meds for the infection. I have seen a specialist, we ascertained what caused the M/C's and we've been ttc ever since without luck. We were about to give up until I read your inspirational story!

Thanks!
Congrats on your baby girl!

Re: Anyone had any luck with Vitex and or Royal Jelly?

I got pregnant while using vitex in Aug but it ended in a m/c. Im now 9 weeks pregnant and I switched from vitex to soy. I liked the soy a lot better and there have been many women who have tried it and got pregnant the 1 or 2 month using it. I took soy isoflavones 200mg from day 3-7 of my cycle. I had no side effects what so ever and I ovulated 4 days sooner.

Mama_moo, tell us why did you find soy supplement better and do you think it would be OK to take both? I'd like to try natural fertility boosters this month, I'm sooooo anxious to get pregnant! Congrats to you, btw

Re: Anyone had any luck with Vitex and or Royal Jelly?

No you cant take vitex and soy together. I think soy just made my cycle better. I felt better, I wanted to have sex more, and my chart just looked really nice. I was ovulating around day 20 and it moved it up to day 16 which was nice. Overall I just liked it better and I got pregnant this first month on it like many others.... Btw it doesn't work for everyone!! Some people it will totally mess up your cycle. You take it like clomid from cd 1-5, 2-6, 3-7, or 4-9... I picked 3-7 because I wanted to move my ovulation date up a little. It seemed to work for me.

im glad you know why you had those m/c and after you get rid of the infection you'll be on your way again!(yay)
Im glad my situation gave you hope, because just 7 months ago i was almost out. It seemed like it took us sooo long to finally get pregnant. Vitex was almost like a "miracle" drug for me and i sincerely hope it can be yours too. I've never heard about the soy but it sounds like it'd be something good to try. Also i hope you're charting your temps as this was invaluable to me and helped me out so much at better understanding my cycle and anticipating O and AF. Thanks for the congrats on my little girl
I hope you get rid of your infection fast!! Let us know how everything goes!!
