TTC for 6 months now :( - Trying to Conceive (TTC) Message Board

Hi there, I havent posted in this topic before,
I am 18 and me and my partner have been trying to concieve for 6 months now and I am getting a little worried, I am still waiting for A/F this month, due on sunday, so not long to go now. We have had sex on all my fertile days and this month also on ovulation day, so I'm trying to think positive! If we haven't succeded do you think I should see my gyn or GP, ovarian cancer runs in my family, so maybe I should get it checked?
Any advice would be great,

hi,

i am 20 and trying for a baby at the moment, we have only started trying in the last 2 weeks! anyway what i do know is that when you are trying for a baby if you are un successsfull after 12 months then it is time to see a doctor.
so on that side of things i would give it another 6 months if i were you.

However if you are concerned about overain cancer then you should see the doctor and ask to be tested for the cancer..maybe while there just drop it in about ttc and i am sure you will be told the same thing..

Are you trying any ttc tips at the moment or have any that you have heard work?

Hi,
Thanks for replying.
I have been following a more healthy diet, and I have also been eating alot more meat, (fish etc...) I have also cut out ALL alcohol, smoking, tea and coffee! If you want to find out about ways that can/may help why dont you do a google search, i'm sure you will find plenty of info.
I hope you have some luck in '2006'!
I will let you all know the out come on Sunday-(if A/F comes).
Wish me luck, I need it after 6 dissapointing months!

Hi,
Well today is Sunday and A/F hasn't arrived! I have had no symptoms of her showing either. I'm not going to build my hopes up as it is still early yet, I have a doctors appt on tuesday so I will find out then.
Me and my partner are getting really nervous now.
I will let you know the outcome and if A/F arrives.
