How long does the EWCM last? When does one ovulate during this period of EWCM? I had EWCM starting CD 10 and the OPK showed a BFP on CD 14. However, when DH and I BD'ed on CD 14 I was very dry and there was no EWCM. Based on the BFP OPK result I think I may ovulate on CD15 or CD16, whereas there is no EWCM and even if there is I am unable to distinguish it from seminal Fluid.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

I think you are supposed to consider any day w/ ewcm a fertile day...but the last day that you see the ewcm would be considered your peak fertile day.

The opk is telling you that you will O 12-36 hours after the positive....but it's best to use all your fertility signs together. Meaning - if you get ewcm, bd...even if you haven't gotten a bfp on your opk ....and vice versa. There are things you can try to increase ewcm...drink lots of watear, robitussin (it has to be the kind w/out the letters after the name), Mucinex, baby carrots, evening pimrose oil, green tea and Im sure that there are other things I've left off. I've been eating baby carrots throughout the day and I've noticed an increase in my cm.

You can check to see if you have cm or semen by doing a "water test". Put it in water and if it's semen it will dissolve....if it's cm it will sort of ball up and sink to the bottom of the water. Good luck!!

Thanks for your clarification. In addition to your list I heard that drinking grape fruit juice is also very useful in increasing EWCM

I didn't know about baby carrots laurie! I eat them all the time any way. I could sit down and eat a whole bag myself. I think I will get munching!

I have also heard of drinking grape juice too, I have also heard that it can make you O early. I don't know if the Oing early thing is true or not, just something alot of women experienced on this other board I go to.
