How accurate are ovulation testing kits? - Trying to Conceive (TTC) Message Board

hi everyone

am thinking about using ovulation kits after the advice of some people ive spoke to on here, just wondering if anyone could give any personal advice on how easy they are to use and more importantly how accurate they are?
tests last year showed that i wasnt ovulating but am now hoping i am as my cycles have become shorter and more regular and im noticing regular mucus at the half way stage. if im not ovulating will the tests definitely show this?

I used these last year and got pregnant the first cycle i used them. They seem very accurate to me. You might also want to try charting your temps too. i was also doing this and was able to confirm that i ovulated by my temps. you can do a search and learn how to if u r interested. or i've heard that a doc can do blood tests at certain days of your cycle to tell if u r indeed ovulating.

thank you Steph for your advice, i was having the blood tests last year but they showed i wasnt ovulating, however i now think i could be due to the regularity of my cycles and mucus, so am thinking of giving the kits a go.will see what happens!! thank you for your encouragement xx
