Has any one here ever had a chemical pregnancy?
If you have a chemical pregnancy, would your next period be very, very heavy?

Just wondering. I always have very light periods and this one is sooooo heavy. I am going through pads like crazy. Sorry if this is TMI. This is not normal for me, and my doc is out of town until Thursday. Before my period came, I was actually having what I thought were signs of pregnancy.

I had a chemical pregnancy 2 months ago, and I was 12 days late, then all of a sudden it was like the flood gates opened, ( sorry TMI) and I had the worst period of my life. I would go to the doctor just to make sure though.

No, it's not TMI--that is exactly how I am right now. The bleeding is horrid, and I can literally feel my uterus contracting. This is definitely not normal. I called the doctor's office and have an appt. for Thursday. My doctor won't be back in town until then. The nurse said that if the bleeding gets worse, go to the ER.

I did a home pregnancy test, and it came back negative. If this is a chemical pregnancy, do you think the HcG levels would be gone by now or maybe so low that a home pregnancy test wouldn't pick them up?

If it turns out being a chemical pregnancy, I just wish I knew why my body did not allow the fertilized egg to implant. I am so sad. This was our third month TTC.

I think you and I are in the same boat right now. I was 6 days late this month. I tested 1 day after AF was due, but got a BFN. I promised myself I would wait to test for another week to give myself enough time. A day before I was going to test again, I started AF out of nowhere. Like you, I had tons of pg symptoms. Now, AF is a lot heavier and I have a lot of clotting. My cramps are a lot worse than normal. I'm wondering if I had a chemical pregnancy also. This was our second month TTC.

Hang in there. I would go see your doctor anyway. I never got a positive test either. I've had children, so I knew I was pregnant, I had such bad morning sickness. Don't get discoraged, at least for now, you know that the sperm met your egg. That';s the way you have to look at it. Feel better! Baby dust!
