Fraternal twins happen when you body releases 2 eggs instead of just one. Identical twins are when the egg splits in two. There is nothing you can do to make this happen other than fertility drugs.
Age is a big factor though (according to alot of the books I have read)- the older you are the more chance you have of having twins. The peak age for twins is 35-38 I think. Family history can play a role too - on your side only though - like mother, grandmother, sister, etc. Your husband's twin history has nothing at all to do with it as it is within your body.
