Hello, My Husband & I, are trying to concieve a child,

I just have a few questions, Please let me have a little of your time, I appreciate all the responces i get in advance. We just started 3 days ago, how long does it take before you can shedule or even take a pregnancy test ? I want to take care of our baby when it is concieved inside me, so that the baby will be healthy as i can do my part to make my baby.

This is very new to me, I have no children and im young and my husband and I decided it was time to start our family, its very exciting to me... to know even at this moment i could be pregnant. I also have concerns that it might be hard for me to concieve , reasons are i was 15 when i was rape by an ex boyfriend and all the times that he abused me I never became pregnant, which is a blessing... but I'm happy and blessed with how my life has turn out so far...I have nothing to complain about.

Please any responce on the question about the knowing with to test for the pregnancy will be helpful, I plan to go to my doctor to have an official test but im not sure how soon it has to be, before they can tell...

The time of the month that you can get pregnant is about 14 days before your up-coming period (and the 5 days before that). You can test as soon as you miss your period. If I were you, I would definitely wait to go to the doctor. Home pregnancy tests are extremely accurate. If it turns out positive, you can call the doctor. If it is not positive, wait for your period and keep testing every few days once you are late.

In the beginning it is so exciting to test, but trust me -- getting a negative on a home pregnancy test is the worst. It's better to wait a little bit of time to see if your period will come first.

Also, I just want to mention that you have about a 20% chance of getting pregnant in any given month. If you are one of the lucky ones who gets pregnant the first time, that's great!!! For the majority of women, it takes a few tries.
