| Re: Question about clomid/robitussin
I take a bit of a different approach to going to the doctor. I've read 3 infertility books and all three recommend being your own advocate, that your doctor only knows general medical information and that you know your body best. I'm starting through the infertility treatment process and everyone has told me that I need to be entirely informed and call the shots, which is what I am doing. My doctor is happy that I am well informed and thinks that the plan I have made for myself is great.
That being said, I think if you are not comfortable taking clomid that you should not take it. I have read the reports that it creates a hostile CM environment and that it can cause early miscarriage. The good news is that a lot of times in early miscarriage cases, progesterone is one of the problems and you are taking that.
Have you had all of your hormones checked via bloodwork? Also, are you seeing an infertility specialist or your gynecologist? Every book I have read has said that it is extremely important to see a reproductive endocrinologist.
Wishing you the best!
