Hi ladies! I'm at 11DPO right now, and my temps are still high. They've been continuely climbing since my O date, and today were up to 98.07 - which is the hightest I've ever been at (coverline is 97.01). The website I chart on says not to take a HPT until October 15th - which would be 19DPO. Does that sound like a long time to wait? I'm not sure how they go about picking the dates, but how many DPO is OK to test at with a fairly accurate result?
The site I use recomendes waiting to 18 dpo so you will be sure to get a true positive or a true negative. My dr also wants to wait atleast 2 weeks after a missed period they will do it sooner if I wanted them to but that is what they recommend it gives everything time to make sure you didn't miss count or O late or just have a normal late showing AF. I am 10dpo and IF Af don't show and my temps stay high I will test at 18dpo I would rather wait a few extra days and get a true answer one way or the other rather than get upset over an negative or search for faint positives and then have dought that I might of tested to early TTC is to stressfull as it is I really don't added extra worry to it, but it is truelly up to you some women start testing at 12dpo.

I agree with what Tami says, that is why the websites normally say to wait a longer time to test, but it is absolutely agony to wait that long after already having to go through the 2ww!
If it was me, i would test the day after AF is due if it hasnt showed. Because most tests these days are quite sensitive and should pick up a BFP by then. But then you do risk being disappointed and getting a posiible false neg.
Whatever happens, it sounds promising so far, sending you loads of dust!!
Thanks, ladies! Well, I just couldn't wait. I tested this morning and got a BFN. Not really dissapointed, though, because we kinda missed the time we were supposed to BD (I think we BD'd 3 days before I O'd). Maybe it's still early, but on the website where I chart, there are so many BFP's at even 10DPO, sometimes sooner, so I wasn't sure. Plus, to make it even more confusing, I'm on this super long cycle (CD58 today), which has NEVER happened before, so I'm not even sure when to expect AF. I figure if she doesn't show up in another week or so, I'll probably make an appointment and find out what's going on. Good luck to everyone!!
