How do you keep going month after month, when ttc? I was "almost" pregnant this past month. I went to doctor today for an ultrasound and they want me to take a month off ("if I don't mind"). They want to do some blood tests and don't want me to be on any meds... OH sure why not, I've only been trying for a year so what's another month right???? So tired of all this I guess but I want to be pregnant so bad so I just keep pushing through it and it's bringing me down. Maybe the "month off" will be good for me but right now it's the last thing I want to do.....SO FRUSTRATED. I just don't know how to just live my life without thinking about being pregnant and wanting to be pregnant every minute of every day???? It seems like every where I go everyone is pregnant......

I am sorry I thought this was your month especially since they called you and said your blood test was positive. Did they explained what happened to cause that? A year is a long time. I have tried 3 months and I am frustrated and thinking it might take a year or just not happen at all because I guess you never know. Is your doctor thinking you might have fertility problems? I guess you will join me in TTC soon. best of luck to you!

ishade... it is so incredibly difficult, I know. I have not been trying as long as you, but I too lost a pregnancy.
I was early on as well, only about 5 weeks. What you and I experienced is called a chemical pregnancy. An egg was fertilized, and implanted for only a short time giving off enough HcG to make a test positive. This is actually a very common occurance. I urge you to do a google search about it on the inernet so you can get more information.
I think the first step for me was realizing that it was real, and my DH and I needed to mourn in a way we saw fit. We have continued to try with no luck yet, but I keep going because I know it will happen again. You just have to pray and stay positive.
Please don't give up

We are all here for you everyday. Maybe it will be good for you to take a month off. I took 3 months ttc off actually and I came back to it feeling completly refreshed and ready! I know everyone is different...but this is what worked for me.

Hello ~

Reading your thread brought tears to my eyes. I'm so sorry you went through that.... I think the month off would do you some good. Give yourself some time to just not "think" about getting pregnant for a short while. After a month, you can start anew and hopefully feel a sense of peace. Give yourself a break, you deserve it.

ishade, I feel for you. I have been ttc for a long time as well, almost 2 years, and had several chemical Pgs and 1 missed m/c - they all brought me down. I was told to take a month off to physically recover but despite my best efforts my head wouldn't let me do it! In the end I booked a long weekend away with my mum to coincide with BD time so I was forced to take some time off - it really helped me.

No one can probably say anything to make you feel better but I do hope our stories can help you and that you do what is best for you (and your DH who I am sure will also be suffering).
