No AF and BFN - Trying to Conceive (TTC) Message Board

I know this has been discussed before on this board and the general advice is that missing 1 AF is quite common but has anyone been to see a Dr about it and if so what did they say?

I was due AF on Sat (religiously 28/29 day cycle) and still today nothing! I don't think I o'd this month and my abdomen has been cramping a lot for the past 2 weeks but not like AF cramps as I get sharp pains as well. Just wondering how long I should wait before seeing a Dr. Anyone got any advice?
I'm just praying that my AF comes soon!

Hi Princi,

I know you had BFN already but sometimes it can take a few days past your due date to get the + on a HPT - are you sure you are not pg? If you have a definite cycle as you do, I would visit my Dr 1 week after due date if I still had BFN and no AF. Just to check out and see....

I know other people say it is quite common to miss 1 AF but honestly, this has never happened to me in 17 years of AF except when I got pg twice this year, so, if it happened to me it wouldn't be normal...sounds like the same for you.

Thanks Eurokelly, yeah I am usually like clockwork and after 16 years of AF this is the first time for it even to be a day late! I used a EPT this morning and not even the slightest of hint of a 2nd line. I'm jusy wondering if I do miss AF how the hell does my body know when to kick start on it's next cycle?! My BF is away next week so I'll be going to the Dr if nothing happens before then! Hopefully I don't need to. Thank you Eurokelly, it's great to have support and advice.
