Normal Activities during 2WW?

New here... Hubby and I stopped birth control in the fall, but we're not actively "trying"...just "letting things happen naturally". (His idea, not mine...I can't help but know when I'm ovulating - because I get achy and can tell the diff in CM - and want to BD at that time!)

If I'm understanding correctly, "2WW" is that span of time between ovulation and the arrival of AF, right?

Here's my question:

If you're just TTC with no thermometers or fertility meds or anything... is it ok to participate in normal activities during the 2WW? In other words: I work out hard...cardio and pilates and yoga, every single day. Also, I like a stiff cocktail or two (or three) in the evenings on the weekend.

Obviously, these are things I would not do if I were pregnant. But, if I do them during 2WW, am I hurting my chances of conceiving?

You're not hurting your chances of conceiving, but if you're drinking during the 2ww period, you may not know that you are pregnant and hurt your baby. So I would try to avoid drinking excessively during that period. I think a glass of wine instead may be better, if you have to have a drink. But I would limit that to a minimum. Why worry about damage that it may or may not cause your baby.

Thanks! But what about the heavy exercising? Pilates involves a lot of ab-work and crunches...is this harmful if you're at the very beginning of a pregnancy?
