When did I conceive? Need help. - Trying to Conceive (TTC) Message Board

I hope it is alright that I post here b/c I am already pregnant. I have a question that I hope you all can help out with. The first day of my last period was Oct. 20th. That would put me at Nov. 3rd to conceive.
Here's where I'm in trouble. My boyfriend and I had been broken up at the time but decided to have sex on the 3rd (that night). We had sex twice, and he pulled out. (Stupid...we have relied on this method for 3 years and never worried about anything). Anyway, I made the awful mistake of sleeping with a coworker on Nov. 6th (that night) and we used a condom.
My boyfriend and I are back together b/c I assume the baby is his. The dates match up better, and I most likely came in direct contact with sperm. What are the chances of it not being his? With the coworker, the condom did not break. I also just assume that I have a 28-30 day cycle. Am I worrying over nothing or should I be concerned?

Well the pull out method does work sometimes but not all the time, because i got pg with that method but i m/c 12-06 but by the sounds of things you might be pg from your boyfriend if you used a condom with your co-worker and your sure it didn't break so its very slim its his, try not to worry so much its also not healthy for the baby. The smart think you did was use a condom.

I am guessing the baby was conceived on the 3rd with your b/f. Condoms are not foolproof, but they are pretty good protection especially when they don't break or come off during sex. The withdrawal method often fails people, especially if you had sex twice and in between he did not get up to urinate, there could have been sperm from the previous act on his penis when he went back to have sex the second time.

Do you think a paternity test is warranted, or am I reading too much into this? Thank you for your replies.

I think that even thought it's most likely you conceived on the 3rd, u should get a paternity test just in case. Or, you can ask the doctor for help, and see what date she thinks you conceived.
