Ultrasound Results!! - Trying to Conceive (TTC) Message Board

So I had the vaginal ultrasound today and I am going to quote what she told me..."Your lining looks good and there alot of follicles on your ovaries." Yep, that was about it. She was really nice and said she doesnt think I have anything to worry about....I wish she could have told me if I was ovulating, but she didnt say anything about it, so Im guessing the timing wasnt right...Im currently on CD8.

Also, I called and the office said my bloodwork all came back negative. Thats not exactly what I was looking for (negative for what) and just because its negative, doesnt mean that my hormones are where they need to be for conception, right?

So I am much relieved, but now I have a whole new set of questions for the Dr.....My followup isnt til the 23rd.

Hi Cheryl,

Its great that all went well with the u/s!!!

I believe "Follicles on the ovary" are the ovaries ripening the follicles in preparation for releasing the egg/ovulation... so given that you are on cd8, that seem to indicate that everything seems to be heading in the right direction for O to happen!!

It is frustrating to wait to see doc to get analysis on your reports... but sounds like all is well

I really like the sound of "Preparing to release" Im so hoping that I actually O this month. This is my 2nd week of metformin, so Im curious to see if my cycle is shorter this month as well =)
