Ovulation question-again!! - Trying to Conceive (TTC) Message Board

Ok just a quick few questions,im only on day 10 we havent even started to BD yet as have felt quite down and a bit dishaertened.Our windown is from 25th to the 13th Sept!!! yeh i know that seems long but hey we want to makesure we got it covered.My doc is sending me for blood tests to see if i am ovulating i got to go on day 29 and day 35!! becuase my cycles are soo irregular!!! last one was 45days!!! I did start to temp at the begining of the month but i couldnt get my thermometer to wrk so gave up.
Anyways,questions:
1) What day would you recomened starting to use ovulation strips? was going to start today!!!
2)what kind of mucus should i be looking for? so far i have had a slightly white/watery discharge/mucus?
3) when shoud i look for it? first thing in the morning?

I'm not sure about the ovulation strips but I know you should be looking for a stretchy discharge a bit like egg yolk.

my cycles are crazy too, my latest ever has been 46 days I'm now at 50 days with pg syptoms but BFN so far.

I recommend the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility".

It's got excellent information in it on what kind of cervical mucus to look for, how to temp, everything!
