Have any of you women had any trouble with what they call hostile cervical mucus?

If so what do you do to make it more friendly for the little swimmers to make it to their homerun base?

Why asking this is because I think I have this problem. How do I know is because last month it was very very thick not thin. I have been doing lots of studing an found out if you have thick cervical mucus it keeps you from getting pregnant. So now I'm trying to fingure out what I can do to help thin it out. I have also read if you eat lots of dairy it will cause this problem, plus if don't drink enough water it also causes this problem.

What do you all think?
We have been ttc for a few months but not to long.

Ok folks I went an bought Robitussin DM it has Guaifenesin USP (USP 100 mg), Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide (USP 10 mg) in it. Can a person still use that for doing it's job or what?

Please give me some help on this. I do not want to open this up unless you all think it will be of some help. It's a brand new bottle an want to know if you all think it will help or should I go back to town tomorrow an see if have something else.

if its going to work like they say it does, then that is the right stuff to use. not guaranteeing that the guaifenesin will work for sure, but it should help...lemme know how it works for ya! good luck!

I wouldnt jump the gun and think you have hostile CM just yet. It could have been a fluke that time. There are a variety of reasons it could have been thick that time. Your diet play a role so if you dont have a healthy diet that can change things.
Another thing that can help with CM is green tea. Not sure if teh bottled cold stuff works cause I cant stand it cold. But I drink about two cups of green tea a day. I dont have issues with my Cm but did notice once I started drinking it I had more, lots more.
If you haven yet read the book Taking Charge Of Your Fertility.
As for the other question yes it should work just fine.

i take my previous statement back, you need to get the regular Robitussin, not the DM. The regular Robitussin has only the Guaifenesin as the active ingredient...you're has the Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide in it too, and even though its only 10mg, it can make what you're trying to achieve ineffective (at least thats what i understand when i just looked it up again)
