TTC with parnter that has Diabetes - Trying to Conceive (TTC) Message Board

Hi,
Ok can anyone help me out hear?
I have been ttc my second child now for about a year.
My husband became a Diabetc 2yrs ago.
Im sure he was when we had are first son but from what
the docter told him he got worse.
Dose anyone know if that can cause the sperm not to be
as strong of if any at all?
Any advice please!

Not sure. Have you checked with your ob/gyn? They may be able to help you out.

Soccer mom,

My DH is also diabetic! He is 24 and was diagnosed when he was 18. About a month ago, I miscarried at 9 weeks. 2 weeks after the d&c, I had a follow up with my doc and specifically asked if dh having diabetes would be a problem. He said No! He said they are more concerned with the mother having diabetes and the mother's overall health. So as long as there aren't any other imposing health problems, then I would say you and dh are fine!

Thank you so much for your help. That helps to know that there are other women with Dh that are dibatic and going through the same thing.
My Dh is actully 38yrs old but I don't have it so sounds good.
