Is this pregnancy risky? - Trying to Conceive (TTC) Message Board

I want to be sure that this will be safe.

I'm 20 years old. I quit smoking last week and I haven't drank at all lately and don't plan to. I've been taking multivitamins and vitex recently along with provera to make me get my period (and hopefully ovulate in the near future). i plan to take the vitamins and vitex until i get pregnant. then stop the vitex and take the prenatals.

I'm 5'1" and 110 pounds. (will my small stature affect it?) I work 40 hours a week and go to school full time also but will be graduating college in April.

i get 5-8 hours of sleep a night (working on that...)

I am hoping to conceive this next cycle if the provera will start my period again.

anything i should change?

I am not married but I am engaged. We're planning on getting married next summer.

One other question. As far as the folic acid- my women's one a day has 100% daily value folic acid. Is that enough or should I take more?

Please don't respond if you're going to judge me for my age and decisions.

Don't worry about anyone judging you....it's no one's business but yours.
First, congrats on your engagement and quitting smoking!

Every person is different, so everything you listed may affect you or may not. I'm sure working 40 hours plus college can be stressful for you. That's probably the only thing that would worry me is stress.

As far as your folic acid, it should be around 400-800 units per day. Usually prenantal vitamins are around 400.

Honey nobody has any room to judge you.. everybody does things that some people say arent right. no matter what you do someone out there will be negative... so dont worry about it. make yourself happy.. believe me i know what it is like to have people say things about age.. i started dating my husband at 15 and got married at seventeen pregnant at 18 ( with twins but i lost them at 4 months) and now am trying agian to get pg. at 19... on top of that my dh is 7 years older than i am putting him at 22 when i was 15! now that caused alot of problems... but we could not be happier now despite it all!
