Hi Sarah and welcome, Im in the same boat as you, my partner had a vasectomy 7 yrs ago, he did have a reversal but it I havent fallen pregnant so we have just done our 1st cycle of IVF but was cancelled after egg retrieval due to hyperstimulation. My partner had PESA which is where they insert a needle into the testie and draw out the sperm and the eggs were fertilized using ICSI which is where they inject a single sperm into the egg, we now have 9 frozen embryo's ready for my next cycle but only one will be put back the rest will be left frozen incase we need them later. I would suggest going on to IVF/ICSI/PESA with your partner as it gives you better odds but 1st of all I would get a referal from your doctor to an RE or OB/GYN and discuss what the best option for you would be. I think the longer it's been since the vasectomy the less chance a reveral would be successfull, thankfully we have great technology these days.
