I am 36 years old (will be 37 this December) and my daughter just turned one. My pregnancy was great (with the exception of some discomfort from all the weight I gained but that was the fault of Ho-Hos and Yodels, not my age!

) I didn't have to have a c-section and my delivery was a breeze! The only issue that you will now run into is that the doctors would be much more cautious during your pregnancy because you are 35 or over - you have now graduated to the "old lady" chart according to the medical field!
I did have the blood work done which tests for Downs, etc. and my levels did come back high - but you will hear from lots of people that those tests come back with false positives. The test results combined with my age (that's how they do the calculation) gave me what they considered a very high risk of having a baby with Downs, but my daughter was born last April 100% healthy and happy and does not have Downs...so just be be aware that you may hear a lot of information that can scare you a bit, but it doesn't mean it's the case with your pregnancy.
Good luck as you try to get pregnant. I was nervous having a child at 35, but I am loving every second of it! Fingers crossed for you!
