Early symptoms, or coming of the pill?

Hello all, I'm hoping maybe someone else who has come off the pill can help me clarify what exactly is going on with me. I stopped taking my pills (Tri-Sprintec) around the second week of September, and my period arrived right on time. Based on that, I figured my best days to BD were Sep. 29- Oct. 4, and my fiancee and I did the BD 2 or 3 times during that period.
Now I find my body doing some strange things, and I'm not sure if they're side effects from being off the pill (they've only started within the last week or so) or if they're extremely early pregnancy symptoms! I don't want to jump to that conclusion and then be disappointed.
I'm overly fatigued, to the point where I've almost fallen asleep on my desk at work, and I normally make very sure I get at least 8 hours a night on worknights. This might also be my body going into hibernation mode, the New England winter is approaching.
I've been unbelievably thirsty, and I've had intensified craving for what I "HAVE" to drink. It ranges from water to milk to juice to coffee, and that last one worries me because I know coffee is a no-no, especially during the first triemster. But I really, really seem to need coffee!
I've been eating bread like there's no tomorrow. I have no idea why, I've always liked bread, but i've never gone through a whole loaf in 2 days before now! It's not even that I've been craving it, I just see it in the fridge and have to eat it.
I've been having dizzy spells. I haven't actually "passed out" yet, and my entire life I've gotten what some people call a "head rush" if I stand up too fast, but over the past few days (I think Friday was the first one) I'll get up fine, get halfway across a room, and then suddenly I'm on my knees on the floor and not entirely sure how I got there.
I've been having headaches, although I'm not too worried about that one, since I've gotten headaches my entire life and I also stare at a computer all day, so it they might have also been eyestrain- induced.
I've been peeing like crazy. Of course, I have been drinking more fluids, but it's gotten insane. I've read some posts where people have mentioned they urinated more frequently while on the pill, but this has only started with me, again, within 2 weeks or so.
Sore BBS- my nipples especially, although they are more sensitive because they used to be pierced. But my BBS feel like someone punched them.
I'm hungry all the time. Not "weird cravings" hungry, I just feel like my stomach's never full. Even when it is, the sensation lasts about 10 minutes and then I'm hungry again.
Constipation. Maybe because I'm eating more?
And, finally, kind of a weird one- my sense of smell seems to be keener. I know how wierd this is going to sound, but all last week at work, I thought I smelled funny. I shower every day and wash my hair every other day, wear clean clothes, and it's October in New Hampshire, so I know I haven't been sweating! But it was like all I could smell was my own B.O. and I was terrified that everyone at work thought I smelled. I even asked my finacee if he thought I smelled funny! Apparently, it's just me.

From what I've read, some of these symptoms could be from either scenario, or something else entirely. I haven't even missed a period yet, but I do know that coming off the pill can make you skip them, so I'm hoping someone can help shed some light on this for me, so if I do miss a period I don't get all excited and then get a BFN. I know it usually takes a month for all the pill hormones to get our of your system, so the odds are against a BFP, but women have even gotten preganant while on the pill, so I can't just discount the possibility... can anyone give me some possibilites please?

Re: Early symptoms, or coming of the pill?

Well first off, there is no def. answer to your problem. For me my first month after coming off was weird ovulation wise but other than that I was fine. I actually dont think I ovulated at all that cycle, but I was able to get preg after my first real period.
As for symptoms, I hate talking about them because they can mean anything. And when I was preg. I didnt get ANY symptoms until at least a few weeks after my missed period.
So try not to worry about that, the best thing to do is to relax and wait to see if your period comes...how long have you been on the pill by the way?

Re: Early symptoms, or coming of the pill?

I was on the pill for almost 4 years altogether- I was on Ortho TriCyclen Lo for 3 years, I switched to Tri-Spintec in February and stopped taking them a month ago. I did have a period on time after I stopped taking them, I'm not sure if it would be considered a "real" period or not... this is my first time TTC, so the whole "charting ovulation" thing is new to me... my period's due in another day or two, assuming it isn't messed up from going off the pills.

Re: Early symptoms, or coming of the pill?

I would have gone crazy trying to chart the month after coming off..it seems like every day was different.
When you quit the pill the period you get a few days later is like the period you had while on the pill. For example, when I was on the pill I always just didnt take the sugar pills the week of my period (I figured it was useless). So before and during that period your body assumes that you are still taking birth control, its not until you have been off the pill for seven days (thats how long it takes for it to get all the way out of your system) that your body says "Whoa, wheres that pill??!" So the period you count as your first period is the one you have a month or so after quitting the pill. If I were you I would relax until your next period comes...
Good luck!
