| Re: if you don't see a temperature surge, does that mean you aren't ovulating
My temperature didn't go up until a few days after it seems like I ovulated based on OPKs and CM. If you get a really accurate therm. and take them at exactly the same time right from being asleep and they are still the same all through the cycle, you might want to try an OPK to see if you're surging and having a proper cycle.
The best bet is to just stick to your CM. Charting is probably helpful if you have irregular periods or they can show a problem with the lutenal/second part of your cycle, but the infertility Dr I saw said your temp varies so much, that it is not entirely accurate.
I have a 28 day cycle with possible O on CD 15 and she suggested BD on CD 11, 13, 16, & 18. She said frequency was more important than specific timing. We did it up to CD 16 and had a success!! (after 9 months of TTC!) I stopped charting and just checked CM and did an OPK.
