charting temp

okay- I just want to get this straight from what I had read so far. Charting your temps will not predict when ovulation occurs will it??? It only shows you after ovulation occurs??? Would it make sense to start charting to make sure that I am ovulating and to understand my cycle. I am new at this.
Thanks
Lori

Re: charting temp

You need to read the site I give out. It does tell you when you ovulate because you start taking your temp on the first day of your period and take it every morning. This normally is done for at least three cycles and longer if need be. The temp changes when you ovulate. So since you are charting the ENTIRE cycle, from the beginning of one period to the beginning of the next you will pin point during each cycle when you ovulate. It varies from cycle to cycle when you actually do ovulate no matter how regular your cycle is.
Here is the site for you to read. <A HREF="http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/bbt/bbtfaq.html" TARGET=_blank>www.fertilityplus.org/faq/bbt/bbtfaq.html</A>
