my husband and I have been trying to conceive for a while now with no luck.my dr did a D&C June 10th to try and help us to start over.I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was a very faint positive but then took 2 more one again last night and one this morning and they were negative.I did use 2 different brands of tests.am I pregnant or was the first test wrong?

Well, I heard of a certain generic brand that often gives false positives. Did you by any chance use any of the Target brand tests?

no it wasnt Target brand.it was the Equate early test.

I suggest giving it another week or so, and test again. Or, when in doubt, call the doctor for a blood test.

well I called my dr and they want me to wait 2 weeks and if I still get a negative test and no period then they want me to come in.took another one this morning and still negative but looked like maybe a faint line but it could have been an evap line

It's important to read the test within the specified time frame, and to throw it out after that. That's why they come with instructions.
Pregnancy tests are no longer accurate after ten minutes; even negative tests will often read positive after a period of time, because the dye bleeds.

oh I know.I read it in the right amount of time and it showed the faint positive way before the 10 minutes thats why we are so confused.guess we will see now!
